The artworks “Deep Sea I” and “Deep Sea II” show the same scene, but from two different perspectives, each telling a unique story. The first acrylic painting, measuring 90 x 60 cm, shows the view from the depths of the sea up to a whale. The second painting, measuring 90 x 30 cm, shows a small boat on which a young girl is sitting. She looks down at the surface of the water and reaches out for the unknown.
The two artworks were commissioned for a therapy room, whereby the motifs were determined in consultation with the client. My aim was to capture the unconscious and the conscious in a harmonious composition.
The fine details and vivid colours of the artworks capture the deep connection between man and nature. The calm yet mesmerising scene immerses the viewer in a world full of mystery and beauty. The gentle movements of the water’s surface and the majestic presence of the whale radiate a certain calm and serenity that is soothing and inspiring. It is a work of art that speaks to the soul and evokes a deep emotional resonance.
